Sam Ford is a partner at the law firm of Petway, French & Ford, LLP, in Birmingham, Alabama. His practice focuses on the litigation of personal injury cases and handling of all legal matters pertaining to the Birmingham Jefferson County Transit Authority.

Sam joined Petway, French & Ford as an Associate in 2015 and became a partner in 2019. Prior to joining Petway, French & Ford, he served as a Deputy District Attorney in the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office, representing the State of Alabama in jury trials for felony criminal matters occurring in Montgomery County.

Sam graduated from The University of Alabama with a Bachelor’s Degree in American Studies in 2007. He received his Juris Doctorate degree from the Tulane School of Law in 2012. After graduating from law school, Sam served as a law clerk for The Honorable Elisabeth French.

What does Sam like most about the practice of law?

"I love having the opportunity to help clients reach a resolution to their legal issues in a timely and competent manner. I enjoy the practice of law because it provides a platform for disputes and controversies to be resolved between individuals and entities."

"I love having the flexibility to handle a wide variety of cases for a diverse client base. Practicing at Petway, French & Ford allows me the opportunity to represent a variety of clients from Plaintiffs in personal injury cases to corporations in Arbitration proceedings."
